You bring the story. We produce the book, the audiobook, the cover, the website and the launch. One house, one price, start to shelf.
The writing is the part everyone talks about. It is almost never the part that stops people.
What stops people is everything after. The edit that never ends. The cover. The interior that has to be formatted a specific way or the printer rejects it. The audiobook nobody knows how to make. The listing. The launch that never gets planned because the book was never quite done.
So the manuscript goes in a drawer. Sometimes for a year. Sometimes for ten. It is one of the most common unfinished things in a serious person's life.
We do the last twenty percent. All of it.
Nothing here requires you to learn a piece of software or manage a freelancer.
A finished manuscript, a rough draft, or an outline and a few voice memos. All three are a real starting point. If it is only in your head, we will pull it out of you in interviews.
You get a straight report on what is strong and what is not, before we produce a single thing. You decide what changes and what stays. Nobody publishes your book behind your back.
Interior, full wrap cover, paperback, ebook, and the full audiobook with a real quality pass on the narration. This is the part that eats people alive. It is the part we do every week.
Listing, author page, website, trailer, and the assets for your signing. A book that nobody hears about is a hobby. We do not stop at published.
You do not have to take all of it. You do have to stop assembling it yourself from six different vendors.
Everyone wants to know whether the narration sounds cheap. Nobody wants to be the one to ask. So here it is, before you get anywhere near a price.
Mastered nonfiction narration, exactly as it ships inside a finished audiobook.
What you are hearing. A passage about a child’s spoken story becoming a book with their name on it. No music, no sweetening — the voice as delivered.
A finished book is the easy part to promise and the hard part to prove. So we would rather you judge us on the work than on the adjectives.
This is production-line work, not a portfolio of our clients. We say that plainly because the difference matters. Most books we produce ship under the author’s name with no production credit anywhere — which is exactly the property you are buying. It keeps our public shelf short. It also means your book is yours, top to bottom.
When a title’s author gives us permission to show it, it goes here with their name on it. Never before.
No hourly billing. No surprise invoice at the end. You know the number before anyone touches your manuscript.
You have a manuscript. You want it to be real.
You want the book to do a job — open doors, fill rooms, win the stage.
This one outlives you. The book is only part of it.
You keep one hundred percent of your royalties. These are flat production fees. We never take a share of what your book earns, on any platform, ever.
Priced for a manuscript up to roughly 55,000 words. Past that, only the audiobook moves — add $300 per additional 10,000 words. Everything else holds regardless of length.
Every book we publish gets edited. It is not an upgrade you select, it is how a book gets made, and it is the difference between a publisher and a print shop. The edit is inside both packages and is not sold on its own.
Already have a book out, and want one piece added to it? For a title that is finished and published, we price the pieces singly — the audiobook $2,500, the printed book and ebook $1,200, the website $1,500, the trailer $750. Signing assets, a course built from the book, and original music are there when you want them, and none of them are needed to publish a good book.
Anyone can push a file to a retailer. Almost nobody will sit with you for an afternoon, pull the real story out, and make a film of it.
We will. In house. Directed, shot and cut by people who do this for a living — with your photographs, your documents, your voice and music written for you.
Not a slideshow. Not a machine's idea of your life. That is the top of our ladder, and it is the reason this house exists at all.
Most authors go quiet the week after launch. That is exactly when the work should start compounding.
We keep you visible after the launch — posts, graphics, the calendar, and the assets for every event on your schedule. You approve; we run it. Month to month, cancel whenever.
Babbitt Press is a company of Babbitt Consulting & Capital Group. Its founder is writing his own book right now — a family memoir — which is a large part of why this house exists.
We know what the drawer feels like. We built the shop we wished existed.
What we will not do: take your rights, take a cut of your royalties, publish something we do not believe in, or tell you a book is finished when it is not.
What we will do: tell you the truth about the manuscript, give you one number, and hand you a finished book with your name on it.
Finished, half-written, or still in your head — all three are a real place to start. Send us a note and we will come back with a straight read on what it would take, and what it would cost.
No pitch deck. No pressure. If we are not the right house for it, we will say so.
We reply to every one, usually within a day.
